The Idea

I enjoy using wide varieties of colour, unusual beads, stones and gems. The idea for CiCi came about because I wanted to provide an everyday aspect to costume jewellery to make it more for all occasions. Inspiration is drawn from everywhere I go in life and pride is taken from the the individuality of my designs. There are so many rich and vibrant colours and cultures to be influenced by and it is this that continuously motivates me to explore other designs. This results in the majority of my beads being sourced from all over the globe providing beautiful, unique and handmade jewellery for all ages and occasions.

Style & Designs

Countries in the Far East and the Caribbean have been major influences on the colours I use and the designs I create. These are regions that I have travelled to on numerous occasions throughout my life. Many designs use vintage beads, silk tassels, minerals such as quartz and bold pendants.

Not only is a diverse range of colours explored, but I have also experimented with my necklaces' functionality. For instance adding hoops to selected pieces so that the necklace can double as holder for reading or sunglasses; or designing necklaces that can double as lose-fitting belts / ties.

100% Handmade

All of CiCi Jewellery's necklaces are beaded by Cynthia Harrison. My days are dedicated to meticulously selecting unusual materials, beads and stones that i have sourced from around the world. For each unique design, strengthened wire is used to ensure durability. The use of strong, magnetic clasps on the majority of the necklaces helps ensure ease of use and increased comfort.

If I am not 100% happy with the design and product I will not sell it on.

Donations

5% of all revenues will be donated to the 'Mary Hare Primary School Appeal', a programme to build a school for deaf children. With a fundraising target of £4 million for the project, CiCi Jewellery is proud to donate to this cause. Cynthia Harrison was born completely deaf and realises the importance of projects such as these in the development of young deaf children.
